Hi,
someone told me, it's possible to get a registration for a vehicle in a
different state. He said there are two states, where I can get my car
registred (MVD) even if I don't live there. I think, one of these states was
Texas. Is that true? What was the other state?
Thanx,
Mark

Sure, you don't mind  parking your vehicle in Texas too do you.
Prevention magazine says walking  is very healthy.

It was a serious question. I want a personalized license plate, but the text
I want is already taken in my state. If it were possible to register my car
in an other state (and I mean only in this other state) I could have my
personalized plate. I don't care if it's not "my" state.

The price of vanity is awfully high in your estimation Tenn.
Why do you think they have state license plates? Sure they want the tax
money and all that, but it's also about controlling the vehicles in
their jurisdiction. In Texas they now have extensive emissions
certification for vehicles so you would have to do that too. Plus there
are insurance ramifications. You would need to insure the vehicle in
Texas where it is domiciled (fraudulantly)  most likely. At least there
would be some question about where used versus domicile. The potential
problems go on and on.
And what makes you think your "special" personalized plate would be
available in such a state if one existed? You thought it was a great
idea, but evidently someone else thought about it first. Thinking is
not what you do best.
You should redact your plate wording and try again with your state.
Or you could install one of those scrolling led message boards in your
back window.
Think out of the box, but not out of the state.
