Can anyone tell me if a demo car would have a destination fee?  It
seems like a plausible argument could be made either way.  Many thanks.

The destination fee is still one of the costs that went into the
vehicle. I think it's best not to focus on a single cost item because
the dealer could make that go away and put it elsewhere. Focus on the
bottom line price that you want and are willing to pay.

The destination fee has nothing to do with the actual shipping of an
individual vehicle to the dealer. It is simply part of the cost of the
vehicle; a way to make the MSRP lower while leaving the vehicle price
the same. And yes, the dealer has to pay it on all vehicles.
