Hi all,

My wife has a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am which needs to have the tires
rotated. The wheel lugs were torqued pretty tight but my 200 pounds
managed to loosen them.  Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the
aluminum wheels.  They refuse to budge.  Any suggestions as how to
loosen these wheels for removal would be appreciated.

Heat the center of the wheel where it meets the cast iron hub VERY
CAREFULLY!

The aluminum will expand enough to get the wheel off - probably even with a
propane torch.

Then, clean up the hub and wheel and use some anti-seize compound when you
re-mount the wheel.
