insurance question

i am just finishing a claim with the i other drivers insurance company
(state farm)
the adjuster is coming tomorrow to look at my car i really need to get
the check in my name and not sent to the auto body shop. does anyone
have any info on this? i would really appreciate any info thank you.

I was under hte impression checks are generally written to you and not
the shop. That way you can decide to take it to another shop, do it
yourself, etc. What is the harm in calling both your and the other
insurance company and asking.

I have found State Farm to be very helpful. When you call in hope that
you get a helpful rep and they can do a lot for you.
