I used to make this series of topics on a recently closed car forum, so
I decided to make them here too.

Just look at the price difference and power output.

Really they are in different classes, the Corvette is a mass produced
sports car, the Aston is a very high quality, handbuilt to order Grand
Tourer.
Money no object i'd take the Aston, it's the better car.

Well, it's the more expensive car, but not the better car:

DB9:               Z06:
Weight:       4630 lbs          3132 lbs
Horsepower: 450 hp            505 hp
Torque:       420 lbs/tq        470 lbs/tq
0-60mph:     4.7 sec           3.7 sec
Top speed:   186 mph         198 mph

I also know a guy who was planning to buy a DB9 - the dealer let him
drive the car for a few weeks before he decided.  In the few weeks he
had the car he had many problems w/ electrical and other things.  A
knob on the radio (or it might have been the light switch) fell off,
and a whole list of other little things.  If I have to settle for high
performance in a poor quality package I wouldn't want to pay $200,000
for it.  I'd settle for the $70,000 'vette.

That's a matter of opinion - the db9 is nice, but to me the 'vette
looks much better.

Are there any other options? Its probably just me but I think those cars
are both kinda pointless but if it came right down to it the Corvette
simply to show patriotism.

well the C7 has grown on me.
i still like the aston, but not that aston
between these two, i'd take the corvette

what i really want is the V8 vantage coupe.

I think I'd take a V12 Vanquish over them both. Obviously if I had the
money to buy a Vanquish, I could afford a Vette too, so problem
solved.

As for which one's the better performance car, its painfully obvious
the Vette is better than a DB9.
