Hi y'all,
Could anyone of you please enlighten me of the following:
A woman (let's call her Ms. Bouvier) from Boston, MA, accidentally
hits an oncoming car, as she is turning left at a small intersection.
The driver of the oncoming car claims to have suffered from whiplash,
and sends the woman the bills from the hospital, as there was no doubt
that Ms. Bouvier bears the full responsibility for the accident. This
will - eventually - lead Ms. Bouvier into deep debt as she is legally
responsible for the hospital bills.
Is this a plausiable scenario? If not, what would be required to put
Ms. Bouvier in deep debt (related to this situation, that is :P)
Best regards and happy new year!

It's plausible if she had no insurance to pay those hospital bills.

First of all, Massachusetts is a mandatory insurance state. Mrs. B SHOULD
have been insured to cover it.
Secondly, the tone of your statement, "......what would be required to put
Ms. Bouvier in deep debt (related to this situation, that is :P)......."
raises the question of whether you are seeking fair compensation or
revenge.
More specific information would lead to a more specific answer.
