Hi,
I'm looking for a good [CD mp3] radio to put into a 2000 Dodge RAM
2500 van.
Are there radios with dual tuners in the US? I had one of these in
Germany, a Becker Monza MP3. One of the tuners continually scans for
frequencies of the same station that offer better reception, and when
it finds one, it fades in, usually you don't even notice.
Or does that make no sense in the US because most stations don't even
broadcast on more than one frequency?
What I also liked about the Becker (which is the brand that Mercedes
puts into their cars as factory) was, apart from its highly ergonomic
no-frills design with no disco light shows etc, that it showed the
names (or acronyms) instead of the freqs of stations within range,
which you could then select at the push of a discreet button for each
one.

OK, let me rephrase:
What chain of auto parts dealers or general electronics stores do you
recommend for the purchase of a decent, unobtrusive car stereo at a
reasonable price in the North-Easterlish US?
Regards
Peter
