Roger Blake - 22 Sep 2008 00:37 GMT > Ah mea culpa. The little Crosley. What a car! The Isetta? Crosley: subcompact, 4-cylinder overhead-cam engine, and disc brakes - in 1949!
I guess the Isetta doesn't technically count as an "orphan" since BMW is still in business. Ditto with the Subaru 360.
Then there is the stillborn Tucker.

It was a good little car, ran forever and a gallon of gas would take you about 50 miles. In an odd sort of way it was cute. The car I always wanted was a 1955 Willys Bermuda. If I ever hit the lottery I'll get Chip Foose to redo one for me.

> I saw a "Car Crazy" episode once where the was a guy with a Cunningiham > (sp?) C5. Anyone kmow of that company? You are speaking of the race cars built by Briggs Cunningham for the Lemans series. They weren't cars manufactured for sale in the real sense. Just a few cars built for racing. I am not sure but I don't think that more than 6 cars were ever built. They weren't street machines.
