Hi guys,

on my 12/'98 Camaro V6 (Germany) 125.000 km
sometimes the fuel gauge is wrong.

Even after 100 ... 200 it indicates
full tank, after 200 ... 300 then
slowly the fuel gauge starts with
indicating correct level.

This happens only sometimes, not always

Is it easy to change the fuel gauge ?

What principle is here working ?

Thank you in advance

Ralf

You probably have a ground problem. there are 3 wires on most senders.
One is a ground, one hot and one sends to the gage. Don't touch the
sires together or you can toast the sender.
