Aftermarket Seats for C4

Just bought my first 'Vette, an 88 blue coupe, 4+3 (waited 10 years, but
worth it - yea!) after a few mechanical repairs, everything runs great, but
the leather seats need to be recovered.  I would rather replace them with
3rd party seats, but my concern is size.  The seats are mechanical adjust,
not powered (I'm 6'5", and I fit perfectly in the car, the powered seats
apparantly take another 1/2"=1" of space, because I never fit comfortable in
a C4 with those).

So, I would like to find seats that will give me just as much, if not more
head and leg room than the factory seats.  Unfortunately, there are no local
shops to advise on this, so I am looking for recomendations.

Thanks!

Allow me to offer my experience.  I have an 88 convertable and am 6'4".
Most of mye hight is in my torso (34" inseam).  I chose the recover
approach.  Bought covers and foam from ecklers.  Seats look like new.  One
problem.  After 14 years the foam was so worn that when replaced, I now sit
about one and a half inches higher.  I no longer fit in my vette. :(  Thank
goodness it's a convertable and I can still drive it with the top down.

The point being even with the manual seats, you might notice a big
difference in height due to the thicker foam.  You might try to test then
before committing.  Good luck.  And let me know what you want for the manual
tracks if you replace them with the seats.  I might be interested.  I might
need to drive in the rain some day :)
