I'm closing in on the end of my three years, only 27K on it. I've
never bought an extended warranty for any of my cars but I'm
contemplating it for this one. Haven't had a load of issues, door
actuator, gas gauge (a couple of times), headlight motor, nothing much
more. Not sure just how much longer will keep it but due to the time
running out need to make a decision. Damn, those C6 convertibles are
going to be tempting!!!

What's the consensus on GMPP? Is it worth it or not. Can buy it from
Ken Fichtner for less than GM but still a wad to put in for an
additional 36/36.

36 Mo/36K     $0      $1550
36 Mo/36K     $100      $1275
36 Mo/36K      $200      $1070

Insurance is not a good deal unless you need it!! Is it better to have it
and not needed it, or need it and not have it? One electronic control module
can cost a hefty sum. Are you willing to gamble? Spin the dice..

The people who are going to sell you this policy aren't doing it from
the goodness of their hearts. They do this for a living and they are
convinced that all things considered, your repair bills for the next 3
years will be less than what you will pay for the policy. They have
plenty of experience with the people who get a warranty so they can
drive it hard and not worry about breaking it. They also know that
people who take good care of their cars and don't break them tend to
pass on the warranty. Given these considerations they price the policy
so they make a profit.

If you know something they don't, go for it. If you aren't sure then
you're just the type of customer they're looking for.
