actually the early ones had 375 hp. the 90 allegedly being the quickest ,
being the lightest of the bunch. the later ones, like all vettes, had some
refinements in the engine. each year getting a little better than the
previous. a friend of mine has a 90. a black one. very nice car. my lt4 can
stay with him till about 95, then im looking at tailites.
You're correct, there wasn't even a 300 hp engine that year. I put in the
base engine for 1993 in error. Doubt we'll ever see a 105 hp jump in one
year.

Also,the "LT5"designation had been used in 1986 on the Indy show car's
engine,which previewed the 375hp, four cam V-8 that went into the ZR-1.
