I'm having a little problem with my 96. When I use my wipers, as the
windshield is cleared and getting slightly dry, the left blade drags
slightly. I have had it drag enough to be hip by the right blade. Is there
someway I can prevent this, short of turning them off while there's still
water on the windshield?

Could be the left arm has been bent. Our 95's left blade at rest
position appears to be "lower" at the tip than at the other end, which
would give more clearance while operating. Ours have never hit each other.

Thanks, I'll have to take a closer look at it.

I'd love to hear an answer to this. It was always a problem on my '85,
and is still a problem on my '93. The wipers run fine for a few minutes,
then the left one starts to stutter and drag. During a very bad rain
storm, several years ago, the blades hit and the left one was bent.
I've taken to running the wipers on high speed to avoid the problem.

I had this problem on my 90. I read in Corvette Fever or something
like that, that if one upgraded to 95 arms and blades that the problem
would go away. I did and it did. As you have a 96 I'm guessing this
isn't the problem.
Based on this info, I'd guess new wiper blades are the correct
solution and will probably stop the problem.

Turn the blades over every six months. In the earlier models you can
unclip them, flip them over, and reattach. In the later modesl remove
the rubber insert, flip it over, and reinsert. Blades last for years,
are chatter free and they adhere. I'm a fanatic for driving fast in
the rain. Good tires and good wiper blades are essential.....

I replaced the blades in May and have only needed them a few time since
then. I was thinking of using 20 inch blades instead of the prescribed 21
inches. I figure this should give me a little extra clearance even if one
drags slightly, any thoughts on this?
