Has anyone use the inserts that go inside your rims to keep brake dust from
coming through?  If so, do they cause any brake heating, or any other
problems?  I don't do any hard braking, but do end up in moderate stop and
go traffic once in a while.

Read a bulletin put out by MBz recommending against their use on their
cars due to heating concerns....I'd imagine GM might have the same
opinion

haven't seen to many Formula One or NASCAR racers using them

Thanks for the info.  All it takes is one no vote to push me away from
something I have questions about anyway.

Well, in all fairness, isn't the purpose of the shield to keep the brake
pad dust off of the wheels?  If so, why would F1 or NASCAR care about that?

Shut up, Dave.
