Unless you run into a really sharp cop who realizes instead of giving you a
traffic ticket that is a non-criminal offense and has nothing to do with
your permanent record, he can arrest you on charges of interfering with a
police officer which is a felony or misdemeanor, depending on the state, and
does go on your permanent record as a criminal offense.
So do you get the $100 traffic fine or do you shoot for the $200 an hour
attorney to keep your sorry butt out of jail and mark the record that all
future employers check before hiring you?
