Hi,

I have a question about mounting the front bumper cover (fiberglass)
When I mount it to the nose of my 79, the bumper seems to creep up on the
front, in the way that it is sitting to high in comparison to the hood
surround panel.
No matter what I try, I can't seem to correct this. It is giving me a
headache.

Anyone any idea what could cause this and most of all, how I can correct it
?

thanks

I seen your posting , not that I can help with your posting but since you
have more experience than me hope you might offer me some insight on
mounting a bumper cover.  I have a '73 and I am attempting to mount a
fiberglass cover as you.  I bought mine from Ecklers and have talk to them
also about my problem but they state "thats the way it is", my difficulty
is the way the nose fits ,large gaps to be stressing fiberglass that much.
When I hold up the nose against fenders and hood, mind you flush against
one fender and part of hood all the way to center of hood the opposite
side is an 1 1/4" away. Can or should it be flexed that much to make it
flush all the way accross. Also any tricks on match marking all the holes
in the new cover to drill for mounting? If you can't offer any hints
thanks anyway!!
