This isn't an answer for you, but I just hate it when I see one of those big
clumsy things in a car, especially a Vette.  They look so tacked in and
added on, with no attempt to match the regular surroundings.

And face it, it is a '76 Corvette.  What will this shifter do for you?

Thanks for the response Tom and I know in this board you guys have every
right to ask that question. Here is my answer
  I took the L48 and TH-350 out put in a 69 327 and a 200-R4 Now that
everything is up and running right I went to the Local 1/8 mile track here
in Holt (my first time at a track mind you) I kept going from 1st -3rd or
2nd to OD blowing All my shifts..lol..im a rookie.
I should have been a little more specific in my post and asked if there
was a bolt in ratcheting shifter that looked fairly stock

If you have built it to drag race, then the transmission should be
programmed to shift where you want it to.  Then you don't have to shift
manually, just put it in the top one, floor it, and hang on.

Now I understand you shifting manually if you have a stock programmed
transmission, as it will upshift about 4500 RPM.  But if you redo it to
shift at 6000 or 7000, then you have no need to shift.

Second, if you are missing shifts, then you need to learn patience and
control.  Don't let the excitement get the best of you.
