You can eliminate that musty, stale air odor that comes from your air conditioning system with a product called AtmosKlear.
AtmosKlear is an odorless odor eliminator and works amazingly well. You can find it in the Air Freshener Aisle at most Target stores, or order it on line at www.atmosklear.net.
Simply spray the interior of the vehicle lightly, then spray into each air portal a couple of trigger sprays. Turn the fan on, pulling outside air thru the system. Go outside the car to the cowl at the base of the windshield and put about 20-25 trigger sprays into the system. Let it run for two or three minutes. Now, go back into the car, switch over to max air-conditioning. Put about a dozen trigger sprays in the air in general, and let the vehicle run for about ten minutes. You are left with a fresh "nothing".
Get some at Target. It is amazing.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds simular to Febreze spray product.

"Simular?" Is that like "similar"? Even Febreze can't mask some odors! Keep
looking! ;-)
Shut up Dave!

I wondered if it might be better to find out what is making your Corvettes
air conditioning smell rather than masking a problem? You're right on
StingRay.

Stay out of the car and it won't smell so bad. Or maybe try bathing
more than once a month....and use soap this time.

You can also use a Q-Tip dipped in vanilla extract.
I had a 98 Towncar that stunk like old sox. I used the Q-Tip +
vanilla thing one a month. It did the trick and it's OH SO
inexpensive.

It helps if you begin to understand why you have that smell - mold!
If you can reach the area the mold is growing in, nuke it with some bleach
or Lysol. However, most cars you can't unless you take it all apart.
The next step is to dry that area out thoroughly. Begin by shutting off the
air at least 5 minutes before you shut the car off but leave the fan run to
circulate air.
You can also dry it out in many GM cars by turning the temperature to HOT
and letting it run.
cover-ups may smell good, but mold is still there.
