Thanks for all the good opinions everyone has given on this group. I look
forward everyday to reading what has been posted as it seems that most of
you are serious enthusiasts and know your stuff. That got me thinking about
this as i do not posses the knowdledge of corvettes ( yet ) , but i can
remeber fondly an uncle i had growing up who was the same way about his
triumph motorcycles..i remember driving 5 states away with him to find a
carb for a tiger, or a bonneville he would be assembling.  sometimes he
would be building a bike for 3 years, completely origanal parts, right down
to the paint being shipped from britain...just to drive it maybe twice a
year. It was the thrill of riding it as it was the joy he took from knowing
those machines inside and out . they were his love.
Ever since i saw my first vette as a child i was in love. at 10 years old i
looked at them with amazement..probbly like 10 year olds look at h2 hummers
today, when i was in my teens i looked at them with admiration, thinking to
myself , someday........
now im almost 40..bought my first vette last spring the 79 l48 , and i look
at it with appreciation...for the fact that they still have the same appeal
as they did 30 years ago..and how just driving it makes me feel like im 19
again, how people look at it and make comments . I remember the day i first
looked at it. my wife was with me and we both knew this was the one..she
even sat in it and i asked her what she thought, and she replied, im gonna
look good driving this..lol.
Now to the question..she WOULD look good driving it, unfortunatly she is a
very petite woman, and her legs for some reason are unable to push the
clutch in hard enough to let the car start..i see she goes to the floor damn
near but nothing. Is there a switch that can be disarmed or sumthing that
she wont have to work so hard??..she is a very capable stick driver and it
kinna bums me out that she is missing out on the joy of driving it..any
thoughts again are appreciated....
