I think this movie just goes to show how far america has gone down the
moral sewer.  The desensitization ploy to homosexuality is an atrocity
in itself ;  the agenda has brainwashed multitudes into calling it a
permissable lifestyle for which even grade-schoolers are being heavily
persuaded of.  Once a nation stops caring about whats moral and becomes
a nation of hedonists and narcissists,  anarchy and utter degradation
will soon follow.  If youre still around in another 20-30 years, you
will witness it first hand.
sbright - 21 Feb 2006 11:49 GMT
I'd have to agree.  I have a six year old and I cringe every time he is
around and the TV is on.  (Regular channels BTW) Even if he goes to bed on
time at 8:30pm, the previews for the later night shows run right with the
commercials.  I'm not looking for Jerry Fallwell on the tube-- how about
Dukes of Hazzard..BJ and the Bear.. etc.  Throw in a little how to fix your
Vette show and maybe how to build your own garage shows and you'd have a
good channel.

Do you want polite or do you want sincere?
Tom in Missouri - 21 Feb 2006 15:16 GMT
Count me in on agreeing.  The TV and movies have been making this seem more
and more "right".

I'm not on the hate side, not wanting to kill or beat anyone I find who does
that, but I sure don't want it pumped into my living room every night.

I've worked with a lot of guys who are gay.  Some are really regular guys,
others I have no use for, but then, that is true about people who are men,
women, old, young, white, black, Hispanic, Oriental, European, etc.  Still,
just because I like someone and find them to be regular guys doesn't mean I
want to watch or be a part of all the things they do.

I know a guy who is as nice as you can imagine.  One night he rode past a
restaurant full of people and fired both barrels of a double-barrel shotgun
into them.  I guess Hollywood's logic is that because he is a nice guy, I
should accept his shotgun episode as normal.

I couldn't possibly care less about you, your life situation, or your views
of morality.  I've seen your posts in this group over the years.  If I knew
we were on the same sidewalk, I'd cross the street, so forget the "friend"

Cardsfan,

Thanks for getting this awful conversation back on Corvettes. I does
amaze me that the issues of being jealous of an object would come from
such a self-righteous man, aren't you?

dave,

Get off the soap box, it was a joke, not an invitation to become a
cowboy. We are all aware of the slid in the language used on TV, and
the political need to accept all of the mental disorders offered up by
the media. My guess is that most people on this group are adult enough
to make their own decisions about what they read, see, and do in their
life. Most are also aware of your problems of the past and let it go
as long as you don't start passing judgment on others that have not
indulged in that kind of activity.

Since you're blocked from this news group in my options I won't see
any reply you have unless someone needs to needle me and includes it
in their reply. I would deserve that for starting it in the first
place, although I still thought it was a joke.

Back to Corvettes----

REPLY:  And to you , i say : Stay on the topic of Corvettes and not
making light of a serious matter of Sexual Immorality / Deviancy  that
is plauging this country. Expect some people to speak up against the
desensitization of the subject you chose to post on ; its not a matter
of 'being judgemental' ...its a matter of not pretending it is correct
and permissable. Now...i think you said : Back to Corvettes. (keep on
topic if you dont enjoy being challenged. regards, Dave)

He's just pissed because it turns him on..... LOL

It amazes me that anyone has issues with what two people
do among themselves........ In all my years I've yet to have a single
problem in my life that came from two dudes or two chicks kissing or
screwing <shrugs shoulders>

REPLY:  It appears you have quite an interest in me and what car i drive
based on your previous reply in this thread,  and its time you and
others with your liberal defeatist philosophy start caring about basic
common laws of decency and realize whats happening to our society due to
it being  sexually  charged , in conjunction with a disdain toward
foundational moral principles (which affords you greater latitude to be
a part of the problem instead of the solution) .  Come on over to the
other sidewalk and take a stand for righteousness -- it wont harm you. I
promise you that my fellow-hobbiest friend .

Sorry group, it was meant as the joke it is, not an issue that will
never be resolved. I had no intent to wake dave and his moralistic
views and doomsday diatribe of and about both issues. Other groups I
frequent have more that its share of jokes without this type of
blathering and for a moment I thought we might get past it here. Then
to I think I have a weak spot in my thinking to maybe needle those
with such misguided and holier than thou intentions. Like the other
post where I threw in the cowboy joke, it's all in how you look at it,
or don't.

How sad, to bad, your Dad

REPLY:  Then maybe you should try to stay away from making light of such
a serious topic that is degrading a nation morally and which serves to
pollute the minds of upcoming innocent children ;  having moralistic
views has never been a crime in a civilized society and you are
incorrect in supporting Tolerance to immorality/putting down values and
ethics. Further, this NG is about Corvettes and not about trying to
round up a few ha ha's  from Hollywood decadence that has permeated
society .

'Then to I think I have a weak spot in my thinking to maybe needle those

REPLY: Yes, you have a weak spot in your thinking but it need not be
that way . I dont have any misguidance or a holier than thou persona...i
just still know whats right from wrong in a moral relativistic society
in which i live . You an I come from the same era i believe...so, what
happened to you that you think moralistic values are to be shunned ?
