You have to remember this is from a country that think it is perfectly
acceptable to have cars not run in the rain, make the chassis a regular
maintenance replacement item, and have a 50/50 chance of the electricals
working. Cars must go through an annual inspection (MOT) for checking of
rust because the cars are so rust prone, even one only a couple of years old
may be unsafe from rusting. Yes, we are concerned with rust problems with
our Corvettes, but they are on 30 or more year old cars, not 2 year olds.
I liked the "flimsy" comment as he pressed on the energy-absorbing plastic
bumper. It was doing exactly what it was supposed to do. Being rigid and
solid would mean it would break constantly. If he ever had a prang with a
Lotus, who used hard fiberglass-covered Styrofoam bumpers, he'd know that
"flexibility" was a desirable feature in a bumper so that you didn't have to
replace it each time some fool parallel parked by using you as the limit
indicator.
His arrogance is typical, unfortunately. I went skiing in Verbier,
Switzerland once, sharing a chalet with a couple of British blokes from
London. One was a solicitor and had a Ferrari. He was far above my Lotus,
as he quickly informed me, but then was a bit upmanshipped by my two
Corvettes. He still attempted to put down the Corvettes, but talk of 150 mph
blasts and long trips without breaking kind of put the Ferrari into proper
perspective.
Corvettes are not perfect cars, but they aren't the trash that many try to
make them seem. And while we had our "gold chain" members in the '70s, for
the most part, Corvette owners are car people and appreciate most cars.
Many other car owners try to be elitist and act superior, when in reality,
they often have only paid more money.

I only cared about the performance part of the video. The guy was just
some comedian. Who cares. BTW, am i in the minority, but don't you guys
think the rims on the C6 look better than the ones on the Z06?

my neighbor put a set of '06 Z06 rims on his '94 C4 and I think the stock
ones he had on before looked better, but the C6 looks better with the Z06
rims on it to me. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I think the wheels that come on the cars look best on that car. Fo
example, the 06 Z06 wheels on a coupe doesn't quite do it for m
because I'd be looking for the widened fenders, scoops, all that jazz.
The only Vette that I do not like the stock wheels on at all are th
C4s. But thats just my opinion ;
