Can anyone tell me if a 78 L48 has 2 or 4 bolt mains or if there is a way to
tell without pulling the pan?  Thanks

Check the block casting number located behind the driver's side head. Look
up the casting code at http://www.mortec.com/

I did that first...shows 2 or 4 bolt.  Since it came out of a 78 Vette, I
was hoping someone here might know.  Thanks
