The shop's owner bought a 3.8L few years before he sold the business. But he got it thru a "broker/friend" who had a Jag shop nearby. The crook was only interested in the comission and didn't care that it had been partially submerged in a flood at one time or that it had been in some kind of low speed sandwich and was about 1/2 inch shorter that stock. Doors, hood, trunk, nothing fit correctly. Spent many hours drilling out and replacing bolts and fasteners frozen with time or rotted with corrosion (Let's not even talk about the electrics) Terry got so "f**k" in that deal...Ken |
