would anyone know if a fob for a 2001 would work on a 2000 & would you
program it the same way? Reading the ad for a 2001 model, they claim it
won't work & that it has to be programed by the dealer, but it seems
I've read someplace that the 01 would work.

thanks.

You want to check this one out before you spend the money. GM had an
issue with the PES and made some major changes around that year. Don't
have all the facts but some of the years will not interchange, like in
won't work.

No it won't work.  You would have to change out the receiver and the
tps sensors.  Much easier to just get the right fob.
