i have the same problem with my 00 malibu...i checked the recall list Brad had in his reply for the 00 model, and didn't find anything - I went down to AutoZone the other day to see if the computer was putting out any codes, and it's not - the guy I talked to mentioned that it's probably either: 1) the fuel pump 2) the ignition 3) the computer - onboard computers are supposed to give the engine more fuel on cold days so that it starts - he said to try turning the key to "on" and waiting a second before cranking it to allow the fuel pump to start to run...so far so good, but it hasn't been that cold since I've been trying this...

Maybe I will try that also, I have trouble with the car turning over
sometime, it seems to happen most often when it has been sitting overnight
or not driven for a few days, I was thinking full pump now to, but haven't
had it checked out. If you do be sure to let us know what you had repaired.
