Not a recall, but there is a TSB out regarding no crank/no start.

Ive seen alot of 2000-2002  with this problem,
It has been the pass lock sensor....When it dont start does you security
light flash? If so then the manufacture will recommend replaceing the
ignition switch and key cylinder.....All you realy need to replace is
the key  cylinder..That is where the pass lock sensor is......Replaceing
the ignition switch is a extra way to grt a few bucks extra and is realy
easy to install considering you have the dash tore apart antways...But
the dealer will  try to get you for an hour extra for labor.......If
this is the case and you have no warrenty just replace the key
cylinder........

i have the same problem with my 00 malibu...i checked the recall list Brad had in his reply for the 00 model, and didn't find anything - I went down to AutoZone the other day to see if the computer was putting out any codes, and it's not - the guy I talked to mentioned that it's probably either: 1) the fuel pump 2) the ignition 3) the computer - onboard computers are supposed to give the engine more fuel on cold days so that it starts - he said to try turning the key to "on" and waiting a second before cranking it to allow the fuel pump to start to run...so far so good, but it hasn't been that cold since I've been trying this...

Maybe I will try that also,  I have trouble with the car turning over
sometime, it seems to happen most often when it has been sitting overnight
or not driven for a few days,  I was thinking full pump now to, but haven't
had it checked out.  If you do be sure to let us know what you had repaired.
