Check disc message

I have an '05 Malibu LS. When I put a CD in, it says reading disc,
then the CD ejects and it says Check disc. It's done this w/2 CDs. Is
there something I can do, or do I have to take it to the dealer?

Were the CD's pre-recorded ? Or were they home made? some home-made
CD's don't play as reliably (depending on the CD- burner and the player
iself)

and many folks record in a foreign language (mp3, wav, etc.) that a player
cant understand! i dont know if 05 malibu is multilanguage or not. if it
isnt disc must be burnt with cda language...............
