A friend of mine has a 1993 Chevy Caviler with a 2.2 4 cyl with fuel
injection.
her problem is that she has to pump close to $60.00 of gas a week into the
tank.she's only getting 4 miles per gallon.
her travel time to work is 10 mins.
and she only does local traveling.
she has had the car checked at numerous garages and they tell her one of the
fuel injectors has to be replaced.
she already has replaced one fuel injector O ring and injector.
a little gas does puddle up under that injector onto the manifold.

Also the car has been run on the computer and Code 44 shows up.
which means oxygen sensor.
she has had that replaced twice.
now my question is this.
can it be a oxygen sensor or a vacuum leak?
the car has over 100,00 miles and this problem has just occured in the past
year.
the car is very dependable and she dose not want to get rid of it.
from what I figure,if it's a vacuum leak, the computer is calling for more gas
but leaning it out.
any help will be greatly apreciated.
Thank You.
