our car was surattically not starting, we had it towed to a dealer (just
bought it 7 mos ago) after 1 1/2 hrs of diagnostics they found that it was
a low battery. $205 later, the next day it wouldn't start again. Took it
back and they called in a tech to check it out - turned out it was the
fuel pump. We replaced the fuel pump - car still won't start. Had a friend
put his OBDII scanner on it and it came up with the code: P0452 which says
that the evaporative emission control system pressure sensor low input. So
we bought a maps sensor $50 more - the car still doesn't start. Can't get
the scanner to erase the code. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have a 2001 LS and i had a similar problem. towed to the dealer said
to change the fuel pump, then next day again same then said something
wrong with starter and the again next day something else and the
scanner showed some error codes and after 4 days of back and forth they
told me some electrical connection had come loose under carriage after
maybe bumping hard too many times in potholes and so on.

So after totalling about $700 + (i paid only abot $250 for towing and
some labour for oil change and stuff some part not covered under
extended warrenty) it was finally fixed.
