Hello Everyone,
Someone just broke into my '98 Chevy Malibu via the rear passenger-side
triangular vent window and stole my CD player, CDs, etc.
I've called the auto glass store and they want ~$600 to replace it. I
called the salvage yard to find out what they could get for me and for
$75 I can have me a new window and install it myself.
My problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing. I did have the vent
liner somewhat removed from the window track but it appears that the
entire rubber liner for the vent window and regular window are all a
single piece.
If I could get the window from the salvage yard with the rubber liner
with it, how difficult would this be to replace by myself? Or should I
forget about it and spend the extra $500+ to have it done
professionally?
Thanks

Nevermind! Quite the simple fix. Bought the window from the salvage
yard for ~$75 and it came with the rubber seals for the top of the
large window and the side. Rolled window down, yoinked out the old
broken glass and installed the used one I purchased. Quite satisfied!
