I started having trouble starting my Boo on Christmas Eve day. I went
to turn the key to start it and there was nothing. After a couple
turns of the key and a few pumps of the gas pedal, I was eventually
able to start it. That’s been the routine ever since.
I’ve noticed that the check engine light comes on when it chokes and
that the clock is resetting every time it chokes.
Is it the starter?

battery syndrome..............check battery voltage before trying to start
next time.

check your battery terminals, for tightness or take them off check
them for rust or corrosion. These will cause voltage drop to the
computer and the entire electrical system in yourcar. start there
