Check coolant level. Low coolant can cause
heater to blow cold.

Mine (2000) has a coolant level sensor that will trigger a light on the dash
when the coolant is too low. Not sure if it comes on before or after the
heater core is empty.
Is your temperature gauge in the normal position?
