I had the power steering cut out on me shortly after leasing my 2004 Malibu
about 3.5 years ago. The "solution" was to replace the steering column
which was 100% covered by warranty. I assume you will still be covered by
warranty, so I suggest taking into your closest GM garage (that's what I
used) and have them diagnose the problem. I would assume/expect that all
work will be covered under warranty.
