98 malibu winter tire question

i got 215-60-R15 summers
should i get the same size for winters or something a little thinner?
what size do you use and find good???

any help would be great

Get a set of steel rims for the car. Get proper sized tires such that if the
rim is a smaller size, the aspect ratio is propotionately larger.

I put 205-65-R15 on for winter tires. They give you pretty much the same
outside diameter (no gearing or odometer "issues") with a slightly narrower
footprint. I found the 215-60's were a little too fat for the snow.
