2006 Malibu Question

I have a 2006 Malibu. Lately, but not all the time, when I put the key in
and turn the car on, I get a message on the dash board saying "Power
Steering". I can not find a resevoir to check to see if the power steering
fluid is low.

Any idea what to check?

Doesn't your Malibu have electronic power steering? Check your owners manual
and call your dealer. Is it under warrenty? You will need special testers to
interrigate the computer to find what is failing. Also rodents like to chew
on the wires this time of year...

Here's a link to car complaints for the 2004, which the 2006 is the same
I think, just not as much time for complaints.
The electronic steering is apparently a common, serious, design defect.
