I need some help.  My Check Engine light went on and I brought my car to the
dealer.  They said I needed new valve cover gaskets (3.4 liter engine) as
coolant was leaking into spark plugs and engine was misfiring in two
cylinders.

I took the car to the local gas station where they told me  that my engine
block gasket is leaking, it was not  the valve cover.

Has anybody experienced this or does anybody have any advice?

Sounds like the lower intake gasket....Do you have coolant in your oil?
Intake gaskets are a common problem on these cars.....When they change
the lower gasket they will also change the valve cover gaskets and upper
intake gasket.....Because they have to remove the upper intake and valve
covers to get the lower gaskets out.....I do around 6-8 of these a
month......Very common .....sadly there is no quick fix for this you
just have to replace them...
