I've been reading the thread of almost the same subject.  I am in the market
for a new car and drove a MAXX today.  All they had on the lot today were LS
models, I would more likely buy an LT, the salesman is checking around town
for me at other dealerships.  The MAXX seems to have every toy imaginable
for a decent price.

I have pretty much settled on either the MAXX or a Dodge Intrepid.  The body
styles are different, of course, but I like the Intrepid's big size for
moderate price, and the incentives remain pretty good.  The Dodge warranty
is better (Dodge 7 year powertrain versus Chevy 3 year powertrain).  Does
anyone think that the warranty difference is a showstopper?

(Yes, I know that Dodge now has a wagon, the Magnum, but the pricing and
options are different, I'll probably stick with the MAXX or Intrepid.)

I want a bit more cargo space than a sedan, but I prefer a sedan's feel over
an SUV/minivan feel.  Can anyone comment on the cruising feel of a MAXX?

Thanks,
Gary

re: LS/LT.. Chose the LS only because it had everything I wanted.. The
few extra things the LT offered were not options that I was after..
same car otherwise ..

MAXX was another thought.. was a bit of a coin toss but it came down
just to personal preference..

Greetings,

I bought a MAXX LT back in January of this year. I love the car. Once
the dealership resolved the one computer problem the vehicle had, things
have been great.

I drive about 100 miles a day (50 miles to work, 50 miles home) and get
about 28 miles per gallon highway, 26 city.

The car drive nice and handels well.

Aside from the one problem with the computer, it has been very nice indeed.

Sandy

the MAXX reminds me of the Chevy Citation... and after my last two Malibu's
I can't trust the reliability of GM products.

Nah...the Citation looked better than the Maxx....the Maxx looks like
they ran out of sheet metal and cut the a.s-end of the car off.
