Question form a non-mechanically inclined individual
I have a 2000 Olds Alero 3.4L V6 with AC 90,000 miles, it starts to overheat
when sitting in traffic, but as soon as I drive it levels out at the 1/2
mark on the temp gauge. I am guessing it is the Dex-cool.
I need to flush the radiator, but the manual really doesn't go into it. Do
I flush it from the reservoir or is there a cap in the radiator, if so how
do I get to it? How do I set it up to back-flush it?
I would take it to a dealer, but I am overseas.
Thanks

Are you sure your fans are comming on? also when you flush take off the
top rad hose and stick the water hose in it start the car and let the
car pump it all out threw the rad were you unhook the hose from just
empty and rinse out you res....turn on your ac on when the ac is on
your fans will come on with out it beg at temp...If they do turn the car
off re start it with the ac off then wait untill the fans come on
usually around 220 degrees...it they dont you have a problem...
