1980 malibu info

just picked up a 80 malibu with a 3.8 but it's shot and can't find a
replacement but I'm told that a v8 will bolt up to the stock tranny but
not sure if it's accurate info. anyone know where I can find the answers I
need?

Hey Bu-rider.............go to this link www.maliburacing.com ........ they
have a tech section
and a forum section. From what I know about them you probably have a 200R4
in your car. Some cars had 267s, 305s, and few 350s in them. Chevy
application is the most versatile in auto industry, you should have no
problems.
