misfire on my #4 cylinder

can someone please gibe me a general idea why my 1998 chevrolet cavlier
keeps misfiring..i replaced spark plugs and wire,core pack.injector number
#4 and it keeps making my engine light come on..and replace every thing
that deals with a misfire..can some one give a general idea what to do?

Buy a new car.

But seriously, I have no idea.  I would guess that oil is leaking past the
Oring making the plug/wire foul up.  I could be wrong about the o ring thing
though, My nissan did this and it was teh valve cover gasket that needed
replaced and bam, no more problem.

Did you do a compession test? Engine needs 3 things to run, fuel, spark,
and compression. It has to be missing one of the three in cylinder number 4.

Fuel, spark, and air. Whatcha gonna compress just the fuel for?

I had the same trouble and replaced all the same things but still the same
problem.
I finally took mine to the dealer and they fixed it by doing a full injector
cleaning. They disabled the fuel pump and ran the car on just injector
cleaning fluid.
