1998 malibu rpm reeds 1500 at 50mph

i jus put in a new crankshaft position sensor and it runs good but it feels
lik wen it goes into second gear the rpm drops and stays at 1500 rpm even
if im goin 50+. The only way it goes up is if i floor it then its goes up
to the right rpm. Anyone know how to fix this?

The engine speed of 1500 RPM at a cruising seed of 50MPH is about right.
