2004 Malibu gas cap

Does anyone know where a 2004 Malibu gas cap can be purchased? Some one
continues to steal my gas and has messed up my gas cap, where it no longer
fits. It causes the message "check gas cap" to appear on the dash
continuously. Have checked with dealer about replacing the gas cap, but
according to him, GM doesn't make enough to sell yet. Have even tried
buying a generic one, but none will fit. Any help out there??

Get a locking gas cap.

We enquired at our dealership, and GM does sell locking ones for our
2003 Malibu. I would think that the gas caps do not change from year to
year.

I lost my oil fill cap once and went to autozone and was able to replace it
with a universal fit cap. Perhaps there is also a universal fit locking gas
fill cap.
