IF its the older body style try slapping the right side of the console as
close to the a/c controls as possible with the a/c on. if the lamp comes on
and comp engages replace a/c controls. approx. $100. dealer only unless you
want a used unit that probably will do the same..i say this as a tech at a
large rental company that has bought and sold hundreds of malibu's since
there rebirth. IF thats not the prob its time to get out the test lite and
find a kewl place to start back tracing comp circuit.........good luck,
