My daughter had a 2000 Malibu, this car has 48,000 miles. the car was
reposessed, we got it back as my parents co signed.  we have fixed the 5
smashes on the body, but the turn signals do not work, the hazard lights
do not stop unless we remove the fuse.  Also, the blower only works on
high.   We are trying to sell this car and recoup our $ invested, and save
everyones credit.  Please help............

The Hazard light/Turn Signal are definetly a related item. From time to time
My turn signals refuse to operate I then must
turn on and off the Hazard Lights to get my Turn signals working once
again...

The Hazard switch is not only the 4 way flasher but is also  the turn signal
flasher. If the turn signals do not work and the turn signal bulbs, switch,
fuses and wiring are OK, then the hazard switch needs to be replaced.

You may also want to check to see if this car has had any recalls on it
- I've also got a '00 Malibu, and there is a recall having to do with
the hazard switch.

I got my entire switch/relay assembly replaced under this recall - worth
looking into.
