The turn signal "flasher" is built into the 4 way flasher switch. If you
have a problem with the turn signals and it is not the bulbs, wiring or the
turn signal switch, then the hazard switch needs to be replaced.
Can someone please tell me how to replace the hazard switch to fix the
signal light problem.
It is driving me crazy.
Thanks

My ' 01 ' Malibu had a Recall involving the hazard switch. Replaced at NO
Charge at dealer. Check into if you are involved with the ' 02 '

I had the same problems with the car. I received a notice from Chevy saying
that there was a problem with the system. I took mine in to the Chevy dealer
and because mine worked someimes and most of the time didn't they wouldn't
fix it. So if yours are totally not working take it to a Chevy dealer and
they will look up your VIN# to see if it falls within the notice.

Try another dealer. Mine was working fine and had never had a problem yet
they changed it out (for free!) as a preventative measure. It's a factory
re-call, it costs the dealer nothing.

It took me a half an hour a short phillips screw driver , a kitchen knife
and tall glass of cold water .
Just unscrew the two screws just above the speedometer than very gently
and I mean gently pry back that long strip of plastic that strecths from
the driver door to the passengers door and it include the vent grill . The
switch just next that grill it snaps in and out .

Thanks Victor
For the repair information. Do you think any auto supply has the switch
replacement?
Thanks

Please complain to NHTSA so we can get this model year recalled. (I
just checked -- it hasn't been.) See the thread below.
