idle promblems

99 malibu started to lope at idle speed while in gear. then started to do
it while driving. the check engin light has failed to come on. any ideas.

hi my name is canton
my 2001 chev has a fast idle .. and when you shut off the car it works ...
now this has stopped... had it to the chev dealer while it was reving up and
nothing or no codes has shown up ...while driving. the check engin light has
failed to come on. any ideas
