Hello to all, I have a 98 Silverado 1500 e/c, my question is how do you
change the light bulbs in the radio? It is one with the cassette & c.d.
player, I am wondering if I have to pull the dash apart? Any help will
be greatly appreciated.........Ed

Turn the key to "on" but don't bump the engine over. Put the steering wheel
down, and put the car in "1". Lightly start pulling all around on the facia,
it will just pop right off. Then there should be tabs on both sides of the
radio, and it will slide out easily. It's about a.... 30 second job if you
know what your doing. About a 5 second job if you *really* know what your
doing, and aren't "planning on putting it back together"....

As far as I know, the bulbs are not servicable seperatly, we send those
units out to an electronic repair shop to have that work done, even under
warranty.
