I had a Ford pickup once that did the same thing, ie would only start
sometimes, and I determined that it was not getting fuel. Problem turned
out to be the fuel pump relay would stick from time to time and prevent the
electric fuel pump from operating. I may be wrong, but I think the fuel
pump relay is under the hood and in a box with similar relays. If so, the
next time it does not start, try switching the fuel pump relay with a known
good one.

Thanks for all the help guys,Really!!
Well, I changed the fuel pump still no go.replaced the
fuel pump relay and still no gas flow.By this time I was pulling my hair
out, then I thought let me check the ground wire connection coming off the
fuel pump so I made sure there was a clean down to bare metal connection for
the grn. and she started right up! but what a nightmare.somewhere in there
was a fix I'm not sure which one, but now it runs and that works for me .
Thanks again for the help.
