I have crawled all under and over the front of this truck and still cant
find the horn or horns or how to get to them.  per an earlier message they
are near the lower radiator mounts but I cant see them and don't want to
start pulling off shields grills etc if there is an easy way to do it can
anyone tell me how to get to the horns IE what do you take off so I can
change them out for a pair of Hella horns?

Which Hella are you thinking of getting?
Today I would have appreciated a Peterbuilt or Mack .... with the holiday
traffic.

To locate the passenger side horn, either 1) open the hood and look straight
down between the air filter box and the front radiator support (it's pretty
far down and you'll need a flashlight to see it), or you can 2) remove the
plastic fender well liner and it will be easily in reach in the front of the
wheel well.

I've not bothered looking for the driver's side horn, but I can imagine that
it's in the mirror image location.

On my '02 2500HD, if I lay on my back, with my head just under the front
bumper (like if you might be replacing a fog light lamp), you can see the
horn(s) almost directly above the fog lights.  They're sort of "flying
saucer"
shaped.

Thanks for the info. Now does anyone know where the horn relay goes the
Hella horns come with a relay that I assume has to be replaced.

Your horn relay should be in the electrical center (large black box under
the hood on the driver's side).  The top pulls up and off and all of the
relays should live under there.  If the horn relay isn't there, it in the
fuse panel inside your cab - just open the driver's door and the access
cover should be on the side of the dash covered by the door when it's
closed.
