Maybe someone knows the answer to this off the top of there head... I
thought I read somewhere that there is some kind of "module" that runs
the engine at fast idle for around 15 seconds when the truck is
started cold and then lets the idle slow back down. Most of the time
that's what seems to happen except that it does this whether it's a
cold start or a hot start. And sometimes it just stays at the fast
idle instead of going back to normal idle speed. If I shut the truck
off and restart it, that usually will make it go back to the normal
idle speed. Anyone know what causes this and what cures it?

Elbridge Gerry, of Massachusetts:
"What, sir, is the use of militia? It is to prevent the
establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. . .
Whenever Government means to invade the rights and liberties of
the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order
to raise a standing army upon its ruins." -- Debate, U.S. House
of Representatives, August 17, 1789
