the last few weeks I have been smelling antifreeze when I have the
heater on.  Yesterday I checked, and the radiator was low on fluid.
I've never seen a puddle under the truck, so I'm thinking that it is the
heater core that has a leak (most likely a pressure leak).  How
difficult is this to change?

I've never even looked to see where the heater core is located or how
hard it will be to get to.

VERY easy job.  Shouldn't take you more than an hour.  The HC is located
just above the passenger's feet.  The bottom part of the large plastic
housing is held on by several small bolts; when removed the HC literally
falls out.
